The “brady-303” project is a culmination of my work with physical media between late 2017 and mid-2018. It is meant to serve as an experiment which allows me to explore jewelry making, coding, design, visual art, and work with emerging technologies.
The unique geometric patterns emerged out of my coding practice. Originally generated through software, the algorithm-inspired shapes are then physically realized through laser cutting technology.
The main emphasis here is on:
1. The fascinating concept of converting digital technology into tangible materials we can touch and see.
2. Creating unique geometry through chance-operation and controlled environments.
3. Share a part of my own creation through a medium that people can wear, admire, and appreciate.
Though each potential design is the result of controlled randomness, I see each one as a wonderful happenstance in a vast ocean of possibility.
